The pause button was pressed, but only in the essence of time and space, my mind however, was still on the race. You see going to training camp recently was “supposed” to be me, but God had other plans for me you see. His plans included totally emerging myself in the jewel of Central America wich is Nicaragua. His great plans did not include feelings of being overwhelmed or stressed.
You see, God wants for us all to give it our best- in everything we do and I don’t feel like my best would have been given if continued on with the race this year. At first I felt shame and was a bit “down in the dumps” you could say because I was pretty stoked on getting to know people who I would be doing the race with this year etc. However, those feelings didn’t last long- I prayed thru them and God replaces those feelings with peace and joy at what he had me doing in the current moment- which was preparing to go to Nicaragua for the second time!
During my last few weeks of preparation for what was my 4th global mission trip- God gave me a vision and that vision involved me meeting a former world racer during my travels on this trip! Well we serve a very big God and he speaks to me big time in my dreams and gives me visions quite often. So I was very excited to see what would come of it! Well during this trip we had translators who went with us and did ministry with us and translated for us. Well on the bus one day one of my team members was sitting in front of me and talking stories with one of the translators and I overheard Brooklyn the translator say the world race! I was like “what!?” “you went on the world race before?” “I am going on the world race next year!” Yes indeed she went on the world race in 2014! Wow God! I had a vision that I would meet someone on my travels to Nicaragua that had been on the race before and you brought it to pass! So So GOOD! & It was yet another confirmation from God that this journey of the world race is exactly where he wants me to be!
So where am I going in August of 2018?
I chose August 2018 Route 2!

I am so excited for this route!!! Some fun facts are that I have been to 2 of the countries before! The Dominican Republic was my first global mission trip in 2015! & I went to Nepal last summer in 2016! I have also wanted to go to India since I was a small child! I wasnt able to choose the route with India for this year because of the timing cutting it to close to my Nicaragua trip. That being said I am overjoyed that I will get to go to India next summer on the race!
