What can I say? The last 4 months have been a whirlwind- almost like God put everyone on J squad in a blender, (in the sense of mixing all of us up really good- and then creating something, in this case Team Eve was created!
We, all being very different people- with different likes, dislikes, opinions, pasts, family dynamics and more- it wasnt easy and at times we definitely didn’t mix well. Despite that, we being pretty awesome individuals- made a pretty amazing team! Another thing you should know about team Eve is that we were made up of the OG (the 5 original teams) Each of us were on one of the very first teams that we had on our world race journey. So with that being said you can say that we each had something different to bring to the table of this team!
Even though it was definetly challenge at times with team eve these past for months, I am not the same person as I was when I was first placed as a part of this team, and I have God and each one of my teammates to thank for that!
Alison, You are a beam of bright light just like the rays of sunshine that you love so much. You lead with with grace, joy and intention. Thank you for being you, for encouraging me, calling me higher and being such a fun person to be around!
Kasey, You speak the truth in love, you don’t hold back and you have one of the biggest hearts! Thank you for encouraging me, empowering me, helping me when I need help and pushing me to do things on my own when I can!
Sarah, you have such a lovable spirit and you bring laughter to the atmosphere! Thank you for being a listening ear, cheering me on when I conquered hard things , and just being you and sharing your life while on this team with me.
Amanda, you are pure, kind, intentional and wise! Thank you for seeing me, (sometimes better then I see myself) For listening to me, and sharing wisdom and advice, for comforting me and encouraging me and being a wonderful friend to me!
Team Eve, if I can describe this team in one word I would say Unique, not only because we all are very different people but also because we walked to the beat of our own drum with the way we did things within our team. Walking into the beginning of the past 4 months with this team- I was not very confident in myself or my ability to do things on my own and my faith in myself was very small. Walking into month 5 of this journey and ending my time with team eve- I am now very much more confident in myself, my faith has grown leaps and bounds, and although I am still working on this- I have learned how to be ok with asking for and accepting help.
Each one of you will such beautiful blessings to your new teams!
Thank you to each on of you for being my people on this journey, for accepting and loving me for who I am and loving me enough to not let me stay stagnant but helping me to grow and become a better me in the fullness of who God is creating me to be! Thank you for bringing your special personalities to our team, for laughing with me, encouraging me and calling me higher! These past 4 months was one for the books for sure and each of you have a special place in my heart! I love you guys! #TeamEve #TheRealOG’s #Sistersforever
