Whats in a Y EA R? What encompasses the 365 days of our life existence? That can be hard to answer sometimes depending on how things might be going for you at that particular moment in time. This year, 2020- I bet that for most people its been quite different than last year or even years before that. How has this year been for you? For me this year has been quite a mixed bag so to speak!

So let’s see, this past year or at least the past 7 months- A LOT has happened not only in my life but more importantly in this world as a whole. rewind to the middle of march- I had been working at a lovely coffee shop for about 8 months and at that time a pandemic also known as COVID19 hit the earth. This changed a LOT of things for M A N Y people! For me, I was laid off from my job- well from both of them pretty much. (the coffee shop and nannying) Fast forward from March to June 26th 2020- I officially had been back home on USA soil for one Y E A R from my world race mission trip overseas! Those are 2 pretty big things, I was and still to this day am continuing to process my time overseas as well as the COVID19 craziness that I like to refer to as a plot twist!

Also in the month of March, one of my former world race squad leaders messaged in our squad facebook group chat inquiring about who in our group is called to long term missions to the extent that we want to go live in another country. For me, it wasn’t an inquiry that required much pondering, but always, always prayer! I don’t think I let many days pass before I sent Leann a private message (my world race squad leader that sent the inquiry) I expressed to her my heart, and my desire to live, and serve overseas long term as well as my desire to learn and grow more before taking the long term plunge!  She let me know that a new program was being created- to begin next year in January 2021! After a few months of waiting patiently (mostly) I received  an email officially telling me about Hineni Immersions In Missions! Then fast forward 2 months later- after lots of prayer and going thru the process of applying, interviews via google hangouts etc- I was accepted into the program on July 1, 2020!

I was and am so excited for the next journey that God is leading me on- what I call my “Guatemala Journey” & believe it or not- it took a worldwide pandemic to hit for me to REALLY be able to get clear on where I am at in life and where I want to be. This year has been full a ton of challenges but also some beautiful blessings have been showing their face also! Not only did God show me what’s next on my path, he also has provided me with work opportunities, he has planted new desires in my heart and is working miracles within the reconciliation of a very important relationship in my life! God is good, even in this crazy year of 2020!

How can I be praying for you?

Prayer requests and how you can join me and God on my Guatemala Journey:

~Please be praying for my heart, spirit and mind as I prepare to go and live in Guatemala at the end of January!

~ Please be praying for my funds, for God to open hearts, and send people my way that want to partner with me and God in this next season of my life!

~Please be praying that God keeps my body healthy and strong- as I am working a lot and very busy with many things outside of work!
