In month 7 of The World Race in India, I was really stretched far outside of my comfort zone! I was at first very hesitant to do the things God had called my team and I to do!
Speaking in front of people, preaching, sharing my story and my testimonies- I believe that our lives our made up of many, many, many testimonies and stories of the things that God does in our lives.
The ministry that my team and I were called to do was going out into the villages and showing the Jesus Film and then each of us would take turns sharing a message and a testimony- there were times when one of us would share both and then there were other times where we would tag team and do it together as a team.
God definitely grew me and my boldness to write messages, share my stories (sometimes on the spot) and do things that before this season of my life- I wasnt the most comfortable doing. By the end of my time in India I was not hesitant or fearful- I was excited and empowered to share with boldness whatever God led me to share!
Another big part of my experience in India was praying for lots and lots of people after our times of ministry in the village every night. I love interceding and praying for people! However, some nights I had to stop and pause and ask the Holy Spirit to fill me up again- as after praying constantly I felt very low energy and sometimes depleted and unsure of what to say or pray. It was at that point on one of our nights of ministry where my team and I had to stop and pray for ourselves together as a team in order to continue to pray for people with intentionality and power in our prayers. Speaking of prayers, on the day that we arrived to our ministry site there was an elderly man who we will call Mr N, heard that we were there and after not even being there for a few hours he came around and asked us to pray for his legs, and his knees in particular. We as a team prayed for him and then we told him he could come back every day if he wanted and we would pray for him! On the last day of ministry- we showed the Jesus film in the village we were living in for the month and before we started- I had my camera out just capturing all the things happening, the kids playing and my teammates interacting with our neighbors. Mr N came by and smiled, motioning at my camera wanting me to take his picture! He closed his eyes and put praying hands at his forehead and I snapped the photo- I showed him after I took it and it gave him do much joy!
Its these moments that stick to my mind and heart like glue even after I physically leave a country!
