Jeffrey’s Bay South Africa, more than just a cute surf town by an icy blue ocean next to hot, shell filled sand. More than cute shops and amazing coffee.  More than the delicious food with the beautiful view and WiFi access that I had at tasty table. 

The people of South Africa, they are something else, they are something special. They carry a presence that is more than inviting, it’s something much bigger, it’s an extravagant love! I encountered this pretty much every time I met someone new! Everyone I met from the people I did ministry with, to the children, to the people at a local coffee shop my team and I frequented.

At our ministry host location; Global Leadership Academy I often got to see, say hi and sometimes hang out with the little ones who went to school there! Where we stayed was the upstairs of the kindergarten classroom and one little girl in particular struck up a conversation with me while I was making my breakfast in the kitchen one morning! This little girls name was Leanda! She asked me why me and my friends were there and I got the opportunity to tell her about the world race and encourage her in sharing God’s love with everyone she knows! From that day forward, every time she saw me-she would stop and run over and give me a hug and chat with me!

It’s moments and memories like the ones I made with that lovely little girl that made Africa so so sweet!
