When God Says Yes

I have received many no’s in my past- not always from God but they were usually from people. People telling me that I can’t do this or I can’t do that. For whatever reason those people felt the need to tell me that I couldn’t do something. Growing up I believed those people and the no’s that they told me.

Why did I believe those people and the no’s? I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I didn’t really believe in myself or the full potential that I was capable of. I also didn’t really know about the God who not only loves us but also loves to give us the desires of our hearts and see us live out the callings in our lives.

Fast forward to the present day and my faith and trust in God that now engulfs my life. In this season of following the calling on my life and going after my purpose- God is teaching me many things about myself and about others! He is really teaching me how to trust him and his word- no matter what mountains I climb or challenges I face.

Particularly at this time I am preparing to go on a crazy epic God adventure that is the world race! Well before the actual 11 month, 11 country mission trip comes training camp and in order to go to training camp I needed to be $5000 funded.Fundraising has been a journey in itself that I could write and will probably write a blog just about that one of these days. Just a few weeks ago I was sitting at almost $2000 funded and at that time it was almost the deadline- the first financial deadline which was $5000 by May 18th. Well on Mothers Day which was Sunday May 13th- I had the opportunity to share and speak at my home church and the church I used to go to! God totally rocked my world that day!

PLOT TWIST!

That Sunday at church (Mothers Day) I saw a friend that I hadn’t seen for a few years! I started talking to her and then she offered to pray for me! She prayed for me with such passion, love and fire! She also got a word from God and that word was that “God Says Yes” Well that night I e-mailed Austin, my mobilizer for the world race and asked him a few questions and I also updated him on where I was at in my fundraising- at that point I was very close to being $3000 funded!

The next day I received a reply from him saying that he spoke to his manager and he got approval for me to go to training camp! How I felt when reading that was like I was in a state of crazy good shock!

Total confirmation of the word I received that Sunday!

I felt like me being able to go to training camp even though I wasnt $5000 funded yet was definitely favor from God and it was for sure God saying yes!

I am going to training camp!!!!!!! God is so Good!

Fundraising wise I still need to raise $924 to reach the first goal of $5000. My goal, belief and prayer though is to raise $5,924 by the end of July to meet the second fundraising goal of $10,000 so that II can launch to Haiti on the world race in August!
