I am beginning to realize more and more that God is definitely EVERYWHERE! He is is within every minute of every moment of our lives! Whether or not we realize it, feel it, hear him or feel his presence. There are times when I don’t feel super close to God because of the things that are going on in my life, I sometimes have to fight with frustration or my emotions to get closer to him again. It can be a huge battle with my own will and thoughts about myself and Gods will and who God says I am. Sometimes, I feel closer to God when things are going great in my life and then when they aren’t I sometimes ask God where he is….Can you relate to any of this?

The past few weeks God has been really showing up in my situations. You may or may not know this but I don’t drive, I don’t have my drivers license. I used to have lots of shame over it but I hardly have any share anymore! That story and testimony will be for another blog. I mostly take the bus for transportation and sometimes if I am running late or want to go somewhere before work I take an uber. I usually have no problems with being able to request one and there being a nearby driver. Well last week when I requested an uber, there was like none in my area! I continued to let the app search for a driver while I walked to mcdonalds. when I got to mcdonalds the app still hadn’t located a driver! I had 15 minutes before I had to be at work so I began to freak out a bit and the anxiety rolled in as well. Then I noticed that there was a taxi parked right in front of me in the parking lot! the driver was not in it but it got me thinking! I began to pray and ask God for help and a miracle because the clock was ticking and I didn’t want to be late to work especially on that particular day because we were short staffed already. Well God nudged me to look inside mcdonalds so I did and I am so thankful I did because I saw a really sweet man that goes to my church! when I looked he happened to see me too and then God nudged me further to go inside and ask him if he could help me with a ride to work. So what happened next was all God! I went inside and greeted him and asked him if he might be able to give me a ride to work, sure enough he was more than happy to give me a ride and guess who was the taxi driver?! He was!!! & to top it all off I got the Holy Spirit was totally within the taxi and my ride to work and he stopped the meter on the car and when I offered to pay him he told me my ride was free! Only God can do miracles like that!

The sunrise shell, I have been wanting one on a necklace for a very long time now but up until my birthday that recently passed I never got my hands on one for one reason or another….This year on my birthday my boss gifted me with some pretty sweet gifts but the coolest one by far was a sunrise shell! I then began to think of how I could make it into a necklace not knowing that putting a hole in it wasn’t something that should be done to it here in Hawaii (its not culturally acceptable and it can break the shell) So that being said- I thought to ask the mom of 2 kids that I babysit for if she might be able to help me with it because her and her husband own their own business and she makes jewelry with sunrise shells and pearls. After I texted her and asked her about it she was thrilled to help me and said that she would trade it for an hour of babysitting- I totally agreed to that! It just so happened that I babysat last Friday for her and was able to talk story with her about it when she gave me a ride home and she not only paid me for the 5 hours I babysat- but she told me that she wasnt going to take the hour off for the sunrise shell she just subtracted 10 dollars from my earnings that night and offered to add pearls to it- she also let me borrow one of their tables for a pop up shop I was doing the next day! Call it kindness, love, a nice gestures but God was all up in that! She didn’t have to make my necklace practically for free or let me borrow their table but she did- not out of obligation or force but out of the love she has in her heart!

I love kids and I love my job working with them at the preschool! Yes some days can be challenging and my patience is sometimes tested but push those things aside and its such a fun, growing and learning, joy filled environment! Coffee it definitely helps- but more than that its the personalities of the kids that keeps me going sometimes! Kids are so honest, pure, loving, joy filled and fun! I love to see them have concern for a friend who might be sad or hurt, I love to see them share and help each other especially without being asked or prompted, I love to hear them laugh! One of my most favorite things is that sometimes when I come into work in the morning the kids will see me and be like “Ms Cimone is here!” and their excitement is a sweet reminder that I am right where he wants me to be!
God is everywhere!

I encourage you to think back on the different moments in your life where God showed up for you, write them down so that when you are feeling down or going thru hard times you can remember that in the midst of any situation- he is right there with you!

Where can I go from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
Psalm 139:7

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Psalm 16:11

  1. So grateful for all the times and in all the ways God reveals Himself to me in my life and in the lives of others! Thank you for sharing your stories- they are so encouraging to seek God in our daily lives and thank Him for His “small” provisions to us every day. I love you!!
