This year for Thanksgiving, I am in Botswana and I have so much to be thankful for!

This season of the World Race and leading up to this 1st official holiday away from “Home” has not been easy, but nothing that is ever worth it is ever easy. I have faced moments of challenges with some adversity sprinkled in, I have been stretched way out of my zone of comfort more times than I can count, and there have been a few times when I have thought about throwing in the towel.

One thing I am thankful for is that the towel was never actually thrown!

First and foremost, I am thankful to God for all he has done, all he is doing, and all he continues to do in, thru and around me in this season of my life!

Oh the places you will go! It’s a great book by Dr Suess and it’s one of my favorites!

So far during this year of 2018 I have been to 4 different countries! 1 of which I have been to previously and 3 I have never set foot on yet! It’s been a wild ride-I have so much thankfulness and gratefulness in my heart just to BE HERE in Month 4 Of The World Race in Botswana-writing this blog for you to read!

Rewind to 4 months ago (& 2 days shy) July 25th 2017 when the fundraising miracle happened that allowed me to be here at this very moment of month 4 in Botswana on the world race! I am thankful that God has placed in me perseverance and unwavering steadfastness to continue on this journey despite any challenges-(especially with fundraising) I am thankful for these challenges, because they have grown my faith and trust in God.  I am thankful to God for placing in me a big heart for the nations! I am thankful that the desires of my heart are in line with God’s plan for my life! I am thankful for the beautiful people in each country that I have the opportunity to meet and spend time with. I am thankful that I get to share God’s love with them! I am thankful for the cultures and languages and how I get to learn about new ones each month!

Although this season of my life has looked very different~God has blown my mind with providing me with a beautiful community of believers that encourage me, lift me higher, challenge me to be to be the best me I can be, and love me so well! I am so very thankful for each and every member of my squad, each and every leader, mentor and coach, and every member of my amazing team 1010Fierce! I am thankful for intentionality and the power it has to build close bonds with my brothers and sisters and Christ! I am thankful for how God has created us all so differently and how that helps us all to learn so much from each other! I am thankful for laughter-the joy that it brings and how it’s something that we do so much when we are together!

Last but not least, I am thankful for my family and friends back in my island home of Maui and in all the other states. I am super duper thankful for my mom and my sister who are 2 of my biggest supporters and cheerleaders of this world race journey that I am on! I am thankful for each and every person that has helped me to be on this beautiful journey of sharing God’s love on the world race!
